This morning, my daughter informed me that someone at school had scratched into the playground equipment the words: "Kianna Go To Hell". Also, in the girls bathroom, someone has written her initials + two of her friends initials = heart. The bathroom thing doesn't concern me that much but it does bother her. The engraving on the playground equipment though - makes me want to rip somebody's head off!
Kiki said that she had told the principle about it and the principle said that she should show the caretaker where the writing was. Nothing else to my knowledge has been done about it.
Now, as far as I can tell, Kianna is friends with everybody. She's in with the cool crowd and also has good friends who are not so popular. She didn't know she had enemies until yesterday when Emily showed her the writing on the playground.
As a parent, I don't know what to do. Do I contact the school and let them know I'm concerned or do I let it go? I wish I knew why my daughter was targeted.

i'd be mildly concerned, and as a parent of a step-child, i was not surprised to find out it was the 'step' showing her. i could SO picture that here.
and jordie went through the 'you are a lesbian thing' because i wouldn't let her date and she respected my choice. i told her that she should say, "why, are you asking me out?" when other girls asked if she was gay.
i think, too, that when you have a child who is popular, pretty, and fun.. they get a bit targetted occasionally.
If it were my kid, I'd call the school. You can't certainly can't control everything she will be exposed to, but there's no reason why that grafitti shouldn't have been removed immediately.
