The word is...That our new manager will be here today. The poor guy doesn't have a clue what he's getting himself into. Unless he has a magic wand and works some kinda magic...It's just a matter of time before the place goes under.
I also hear whispers that he could be gay. Not that this bothers me, but I don't think the guys at the bar are going to go so easy on him if he is. Helloooo It's a sports bar!
Finally, I heard yesterday that the one owner who is planning on cleaning house and firing everyone thinks that I'm a good server and a hard worker - which I am. I may just keep my job yet.....The question is...Do I want it? After all that's happened, seeing people betrayed, bad decisions being made...My heart's not in it. My work ethic is slipping. The good thing is that if I stay, I don't have to worry about looking for something else. I do hate change sometimes. I'm comfortable where I am. Horrible in an interview. I'm going to take it day by day.
I'll be on time this morning. I'll do the little bit extra that I used to do. I'll try to get a feel for the new guy...See where the place is heading. At best, they'll lay me off and I can collect UI. Who knows?
