Real Life

Back to work yesterday. Many of the regulars asked where I had been. My simple answer was that I needed to take some time off. One idiot says to me "Congratulations! I figured it out!", forcing me to tell him the whole story to which he said, "Oh well, that's life." Actually, that's death, but whatever.

My son has been up two nights in a row until 11 o'clock doing homework. This can't continue. That's WAY too much homework!

I had a nice little chat with the she-ex yesterday. It went fairly well. It was pleasant. She did mention to me that the miscarriage was very hard on her daughter and that maybe next time we shouldn't tell the kids until I'm showing. "To her it was real" she said to me. "IT WAS REAL" I answered. She then changed the subject and we went on with our pleasant conversation. I think she's figured out that it's not a good idea to mess with me. Glad she's learned her lesson.
