Last Thursday, my former MIL called and explained to me that she needs my signature for a mortgage loan. (The he-ex and I are "owners" on their farm) I made plans to rush over there right after work on Friday to sign the papers. She called my cell while I was at work and told me that the date had been set up for Monday morning and that if I could take the day off of work that she'd pay me my days wages and give me gas money. I arranged with my boss to have Monday off. Then, she calls me back and tells me that it's Tuesday and not Monday. I spoke to the boss and had the day off switched to Tues. When I got home from work today, she called me and told me that it had been cancelled and would be rescheduled for some time next week. Now I will be missing two days of work to help a family whom really want nothing to do with me. This of course, didn't impress Hubby-the workaholic. I have called and left a message at work that I'm available for tomorrow, but am sure that even if the boss gets it that she'll tell me not to bother coming in. Anyone available for lunch?
