Boys will be Boys - and the Girls will be too.

The party's going pretty well. So far we've been through 36 slices of pizza, 3 bowls of chips, one whole chocolate cake and I've made 2 trips to the recycling bin with pop cans. I've had to cut one kid off from having any more root beer. As they all seemed to hit their sugar high just a few minutes ago, I sent them all out into the cold, dark night - each armed with a can of silly string. I thought that a good run outside in the cold would calm them down a bit. Oh my gosh...I was wrong. Yeah, they had a blast for three cold minutes but as soon as the cans were done, they took their energy (and mess) indoors. I'm stuck here for a while because each time I leave the room, the volume goes up about 8 notches. They're all good kids and I'm glad they're having fun. But what was I thinking with the pop and chips? I should have had juice and a veggie tray! I tried to take some pics of the silly string fight, but it was dark and those kids are fast and those cans were small. Oh yeah - Instead of candles on the cake, we used 13 sparklers. And yes...The fire alarm works - WELL. One 12 year old had to take a cell phone call from his girlfriend part way through the movie we were watching earlier.

And those are your half-time highlights.
