The Truth?

We had a house full of Steeler fans last night and I won more poker hands than any of the guys!

The kids are still at their "Dad's". He called collect just as I was about to leave to pick them up. He said that the phones at the house were not working and that hwy. 6 was closed due to the weather. I checked the government website and there were four hwys closed due to weather. All of them north west of the he-ex's location. Hwy 6 was not on the list. Randy had a speech due today. As of Friday, he hadn't done much and so we were counting on him to complete it (hopefully with the help of his Grandmother) this weekend. Had he been in school today, the learning resources teacher was going to look it over and help him fix it up before he handed it in. I doubt that he'll get that luxury now. The he-ex told me that he pretty much wrote the speech for Randy. The rough copy I saw said something about how Randy was born to play drums and how his whole purpose in life was to show others the truth by using his talents. Confused? Yeah. That's what it's like when the he-ex talks.

When he first started preaching "the truth", it was about Jesus. Now though, "the truth" is defined as anything that the he-ex believes in. Whatever has rumbled around in his head when he's trippin' comes out of his mouth as the truth. A conversation with him usually goes in circles. I wonder if this speech will have an introduction, a body and a conclusion. I wonder if it will stay on topic? I wonder if I'll actually get my kids back tonight before bedtime. Will they be clean and fed? Will Dad be a superhero for exaggerating about the weather and keeping them out of school for the day? Stay tuned. The saga continues.
