Finally, an Update

The $20 from the non-birthday party was never returned, even though Hubby had the balls to ask for it!

I just got off the phone with my (former?) boss. She explained that it wasn't personal and that I left for holiday during a busy time and she had to bring someone in to finish up my work for the season. (She also said that she'd gone through quite a number of people.) The season is over and there is nothing lined up yet for the fall. They are still considering moving to Toronto but haven't made any firm plans. She will call me if there is any work available and is writing me a reference letter. Ahhhhhhh. Finally. Closure.

In other news, I've been fighting depression again and have been really down. The combination of losing my job, my niece's sudden death, the kids being away for most of the summer, financial problems and other personal family matters have made me a very angry girl. I've been searching for a sense of self-worth and have been unable to find it in this dark, dusty basement. I'm working on it though. I've been working out a bit (Tae Bo and Pilates) and have found a good church to attend.

So, I'm sorry for the lack of posts lately. I'm okay really. I just haven't had anything entertaining to say. I'll be back when I find the lighter Me.
