Thursday
- I'm home from work (oh -forgot to tell you - I'm now a cashier at a grocery store), go straight to the computer to check emails and read blogs when I hear this buzz whomp noise and the screen goes black. I smell something burning. I conclude that my computer is dead.
- Minutes later, Hubby calls to say that the car is in the shop for repairs and will I pick him up?
- Survivor was a recap show
- The FTA satellite goes out and we don't have use of a computer to find the new keys
Friday
- I wake up with "stomach" problems
- We are out of chocolate milk
- The phone rings - It's my former MIL. She rips into me because a rude man banged on her barn door late last night and scared her half to death. He was looking for the he-ex to serve him papers. She tells me that I shouldn't have given them her address and that she still hasn't gotten over her granddaughter's death and now her husband is in the hospital full of infection and she's all alone and Robbie is unable to work and do I want her to pay me off?......
- My period is late but two hpt's are negative.
- The he-ex calls and we get into the usual fight where he calls me a cold selfish bitch who ruined his life and doesn't care about anyone.
- The she-ex calls and asks me where her money is. Hubby gave her half on Tuesday and told her that he'd give her the rest at the end of the month. (Which btw is not until next Tuesday!) She says that she needs the money and he needs to drop it off to her today.
- I drive Hubby to the shop to pick up our car and I head to work - Where everything goes wrong that can go wrong. It's a long and difficult shift.
- I head home in the rain.
- Suddenly, something happens to the transmission as I exit the hwy. I manage to coast into a parking lot and call my Husband.
- He shows up in somebody else's car to pick me up. Apparently, there was a problem with our car and it needs five more hours of labour. He borrowed the mechanic's wife's car for the night.
- Hubby flags down some guy to help push the van into a parking spot where we leave the broken vehicle.
- On the way home, he tells me that he actually paid the she-ex the rest of the support that he didn't owe her until next week.
- In the mail is a large hydro bill.
- The kids are devistated that they won't be going to visit their father this weekend.
*********
On the upside:
-Hubby purchased a new motor for our computer and obviously, it's up and working again.
-My former MIL phoned me and appologized. She admitted that I was right and that the he-ex needs to step up and provide for his children.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
***Now Saturday morning: The he-ex just called. He was crying. Told the kids he misses them and let them know about all the fun stuff that he had planned this weekend that they're now missing out on.
