I'm not sure if I blogged this or not, but the he-ex served me with court papers last month. He hadn't paid child support for five years and was asking me/the court to cancel his almost $20,000.00 in arrears. Today was our court date. It is settled and we shouldn't have to go back to court again. His new girlfriend sat in on the meetings and she is really great: Level headed, positive - A really good influence on him. I'm looking forward to seeing him get his life back on track.
I also went for a routine OB appointment today. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat again and everything appears to be going well. Another ultrasound is scheduled in about 3 weeks.
So...A big sigh of relief on all fronts.

So glad to hear everything is going well. So I take it you won at the court hearing?
We went through a mediation and came to an agreement. I reduced the amount of arrears. It just wasn't worth fighting over. For me, it wasn't ever about the money anyway - It was the principle of the thing. He's the dad. He needs to support his kids. He now has a plan for doing that.
