10 Reasons Why We Should Have NOT Bought Grandma's Car:
(in no particular order)
1. It left my cousin without a car and my Mom and Dad having to lend theirs out to her.
2. Cousin is still in a fight with the insurance company over hundreds of dollars due to cancellation.
3. After driving the car for a week, we had to fork out almost $1000.00 for transmission work
4. Grandma is upset believing that she could somehow still be driving the car
5. There is a crack in the front windshield that I swear is deepening with every highway drive
6. Hubby and I argue over who gets to drive the car and who has to drive the van
7. Last night, the lights and power steering went while Hubby was driving. It's in the shop right now. Looks like a belt problem. Will cost more $$$$ to fix
8. We sold my car to the she-ex. My Saturn which was nothing special as cars go, was the only thing that I bought with my hard earned money as a single person. Instead of actually paying for the car, Hubby is no longer giving her spousal support. I feel like I gave her MY car to pay for her spousal support.
9. We have not made the monthly payments as promised. Although he hasn't said anything, this must bother Dad. I know it bothers me that Grandma could use the money as my brother has lent her a hefty sum.
10. There's something not right with the air circulation within the car. The windows fog up at weird times. It's drafty.
We should have kept the Saturn. The only person who is happy with this whole deal is the She-ex. Go figure.
