This Week Indoors

Hey everybody. Sorry I haven't been blogging. I have been taking it easy, enjoying my freedom. You'd think that since I now have all this time on my hands that I'd be blogging like crazy - but NO. I really don't have much to say.

The birthday party was just our family going out to dinner. We went to a place I'd never been to before. "It's where the big boys come to eat" according to Hubby. He was right. Every man in the place looked like a football player (or former football player). I ordered the open faced roast beef sandwich. You should have seen the size of it! It was like something from the Flintstones! On a large oval shaped plate, there was so much beef that it was hanging off the ends of the plate. They had to put the fries on a separate plate! The whole thing was a steal too. Seven of us ate (including Hubby and his brother - two of the big boys) and with taxes the dinner came out to $65.00. We would have spent more than that for two of us at the Keg. My present was ten dollars in lottery tickets and the kids gave me some of their Halloween candy. Hubby also did buy a cake and a card that joked about how cheap he was. All in all, I think Hubby had the perfect birthday... Even though it was my name on the cake.

Otherwise, nothing else much has happened this week. I've barely been out of the house (which is still not clean like I promised it would be) and haven't really talked to anyone. I have though, started working out a bit. I'll try to blog more frequently. It's just that when I get the good ideas and feel like I've got something to say, someone is already on the computer playing online poker.
