Alternate title: Taking time to Stop and Smell the Electric Guitar
A rainy Saturday morning. I put my hair up into a ponytail, throw on a pair of sweatpants and grab my Sudoku book. I dropped off K. at her friend's house, and drove R. to his drum lesson. A half hour to kill, I find a secluded spot to park. The radio is on and my only thoughts are the numbers one through nine.
What a blissful 30 minutes it was. The music - It spoke to me. I was lost in it. I remember that feeling. I felt like a teenager again.
Life gets so busy. Our brains are always buzzing with the things that need to get done. So many times the sounds from the radio just seem like background noise. But not today. Today I felt the music. And I loved it.
