Poised for war

It's 2:30 and still no phone call from the he-ex. The kids will be out of school in an hour and I really don't want them overhearing the inevitable phone conversation/attack. I'm wondering...Should I call him and let him know that I will not be driving the kids to see him? Should I wait for his call? Does he even remember that this is supposed to be his weekend? I'm waiting in suspense. This should prove to be a drama-filled weekend.
